Terms of Service
[Fursuits and Fursuit Parts]
By submitting a commission application, sending a deposit, or signing a contract with ChewyEnnui Creations (hereafter referred to as "the maker"), you (hereafter referred to as "the client") agree to be legally bound by the following terms and conditions.
Slots & Selection Process
Slots: Commissions open a few times a year for a limited number of slots, and will remain open for a set amount of time. Openings will be announced in advance on the maker’s social media channels, and slots are filled via an application process rather than a first-come, first-served basis
Selection Process: Applications will be selected based on artistic compatibility, the maker’s current skill set, and the availability of high-quality materials required for the design. The maker reserves the right to decline any project that falls outside their current scope of production.
Eligibility & Age Requirements
Age Limit: The client must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application to commission a custom project. By submitting an application, you certify that you are a legal adult.
No Parent Proxies: Minors are not permitted to order custom commissions. Custom commissions cannot be placed by a parent or guardian on behalf of a minor.
Pre-made Exceptions: Only pre-made, ready-to-ship designs may be purchased by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor.
Design & Reference Sheets
Reference Requirements: The client must provide a clear, flat-colored, digital 2-view or 3-view reference sheet that is “fursuit-friendly.” The maker will not accept heavily shaded art, traditional sketches, text-only descriptions, or AI-generated images.
Artistic Style: The maker works strictly within their own established artistic style. The maker will not copy, replicate, or mimic the style of another maker, nor will they replicate copyrighted designs.
Changes to Design: Minor design changes may be requested before materials are purchased. Any design changes requested after fabrics have been ordered or construction has begun will incur additional fees
Payment, Fees, and Currency
Quotes & Currency: All quotes are provided in USD and are valid for 30 days.
Payment Methods: Payments must be made via PayPal invoice in USD.
Down Payment: A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required upfront to secure your slot and purchase raw materials. This deposit will count toward the final balance.
Payment Plans: Payment plans are negotiable. If a payment plan is agreed upon, payments must be made according to the agreed schedule. The finished suit/parts will not ship until the final balance is paid in full.
Extra Fees: The client is entirely responsible for all shipping costs, customs duties, import fees, and taxes.
Chargebacks: Filing an unauthorized chargeback or payment dispute will result in immediate termination of the contract. The client will forfeit all money paid, lose rights to the incomplete suit, and be permanently blacklisted.
Measurements & Sizing
Duct Tape Dummy (DTD) and Measurements: The client must provide a high-quality, durable DTD for a fullsuit commission, along with any other necessary measurements, such as head size, shoe size, etc. by the deadline specified by the maker.
Sizing Responsibility: The maker is not responsible for fit issues caused by inaccurate measurements, weight fluctuations, or poorly constructed DTDs provided by the client.
Alterations: Minor fit adjustments requested within 30 days of delivery are free, but the client must cover all shipping costs.
Deadlines & Shipping
Deadlines: Completion timelines are estimates, not strict guarantees. The maker does not guarantee completion for specific conventions or events due to the potential for material delays, illness, or shipping backups.
Damages: The maker is not responsible for packages lost or damaged by the postal carrier. Insurance is highly recommended and can be added at the buyer's expense.
Progress & Communication
Work-In-Progress (WIPs): The maker will provide digital progress updates at key milestones (e.g., foamed base, patterning, furring, etc.) via the agreed upon method (e.g. Discord, Telegram, e-mail, etc.).
Points of No Return: Once a WIP phase is approved by the client (e.g., the shape of the foam base), structural changes cannot be made without an extra labor and material fee.
Warranty, Repairs, & Workspace Disclosures
Warranty Window: The maker provides a 60-day limited warranty starting from the day the suit is delivered. This covers structural defects such as popped seams or loose glue.
Warranty Voiding: The warranty is immediately voided if the suit is altered by the client, taken to another maker for adjustments, washed incorrectly, or subjected to rough abuse/neglect.
Allergen Notice: The maker operates out of a workspace that contains parrots. However, the animals do not come into contact with the materials or parts. The maker is not liable for any allergic reactions.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation by Buyer: If the client cancels the commission, the 40% deposit is retained by the maker. A partial refund of the remaining balance may be issued depending on how much work has been completed.
Cancellation by Maker: If the maker must cancel the commission due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund (including the deposit) will be issued, and any work-in-progress materials will remain with the maker.
Client Abandonment (Ghosting): If a client fails to respond to progress updates, invoices, or critical design inquiries for more than 30 consecutive days without prior written notice, the commission will be deemed abandoned.
Project Cancellation: In the event of client cancellation or project abandonment, the maker retains all payments made up to that point.
Character Modification: In the event of a cancellation, abandonment, or termination, the maker reserves the absolute right to alter, modify, or redesign the unfinished or finished project and sell it as a generic "pre-made" suit or character in order to recoup the remaining unpaid balance, labor costs, and storage fees. The original buyer forfeits all rights to the physical item and any custom modifications made to it.
Behavior
Professional Conduct: Harassment, verbal abuse, threats, or constant micro-management will not be tolerated.
Termination: The maker reserves the right to terminate the contract and refuse service at any time if the client violates this conduct policy. In this event, the client will receive a prorated refund, and the maker will retain the non-refundable deposit and all materials
