Fursuit Care and Storage Instructions

Hang It Up Immediately: Never leave your suit packed in a bag or bin while damp! Hang the bodysuit up on a heavy-duty plastic hanger to air out.
Disinfect: Mist the inside lining and the outside fur with a 50/50 mix of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and water to kill bacteria and eliminate sweat odors.
Spot Clean: Clean up any obviously dirty areas with a damp washcloth and mild soap. Spot Cleaners such as Folex may also be used in small areas, but always make sure to allow the damp areas to dry completely before storing your fursuit.
Brush It Out: Always brush the faux fur with a slicker brush (wire pet brush) before and after wearing it. Always brush with the grain of the fur to prevent matting.

Fursuit Head & Electronic Parts: Never submerge the head in water. The foam will trap moisture and mold. Spot-clean the outside fur with a damp washcloth and mild soap. Wipe the inside down with disinfectant wipes. Removable inner head padding may be hand-washed, and must be allowed to dry completely before replacing.
Bodysuit, Paws, & Tails: Turn the bodysuit inside out and remove any padding/stuffing from the bodysuit, paws, and tail. Hand wash using STRICTLY COLD WATER and a gentle detergent (like Woolite).

NO HEAT ALLOWED: Never put any part of your fursuit into a heated clothes dryer. High heat will instantly melt and permanently ruin synthetic faux fur fibers ("fried fur").
Air Dry Only: Hang the bodysuit up and point a box fan or desk fan directly at it.
Brush While Drying: Gently brush the fur with the grain of the fur with a wide-toothed comb while it is damp, and brush it with a slicker brush one final time once it is 100% dry to restore its original fluffiness.

UV Exposure: Store your suit in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Continuous UV exposure will fade the vibrant fur colors over time.
